American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) Invites HMR to Exhibit at 2007 Annual Meeting

(August, 2007) HMR will share successful data from the HMR Program for Weight Management™ and provide an overview of all HMR treatment options at the nation's largest gathering of diabetes educators during the AADE's Annual Meeting and Exhibition August 1-4 in St. Louis, Missouri. 

With the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) study conclusively showing that people at risk for developing diabetes can prevent the disease by making simple changes in their diet and physical activity level, the challenge has been to get people to actually adhere to the recommended lifestyle changes. Data from the HMR Program for Weight Management show that with intensive coaching and support of a professional weight-management program, extraordinary health changes can occur.

In addition to highlighting the in-clinic weight-loss programs (available with or without medical supervision), HMR will also promote its at-home weight-loss option: HMR Healthy Solutions Quick Start™ Diet Kit. The kits can help people with diabetes achieve maximum weight loss while learning the healthy lifestyle behaviors critical for diabetes management. (Clients with diabetes using the kits are advised to work closely with their physician and diabetes educator to make any necessary medication adjustments.)
